Responsibilities:
· Identify and secure new banquet business opportunities, optimize use of event spaces, and maximize overall revenue
· Respond promptly and professionally to all banquet inquiries via phone, email, sales call and walk-ins
· Entertain and engage existing and prospective banquet event clients
· Represent the hotel at trade shows and wedding expos, promoting and selling catering and conference space as directed
· Build and maintain strong client relationships through professional engagement and follow-up
· Escalate any issues or unusual situations immediately to the Director of Sales & Marketing.
· Prepare and submit accurate monthly catering booking and pacing reports
· Achieve or exceed annual personal banquet sales and booking targets
· Maintain thorough knowledge of the hotel's event spaces, capacities, offerings, and the competitive market
· Prepare, review, and ensure accuracy of Banquet Event Orders (BEOs) and daily/weekly event sheets
· Provide ideas and feedback for marketing plans and budgets
· Develop and execute targeted sales initiatives and projects to increase volume and profitability in assigned markets
· Respond calmly and appropriately to hotel emergencies or safety situations
· Perform additional duties and projects as assigned by management
Requirements:
· Degree or Diploma in Hospitality Management or a related discipline
· Minimum of 5 years' experience in hotel banquet sales
· Strong selling, communication, and interpersonal skills
· Solid analytical skills with good commercial awareness
· Excellent presentation skills and a customer-focused attitude
· Fully computer literate
· Proficient in spoken and written English and Chinese
· Mature, presentable, outgoing and self-motivated
