Our vision:

We are committed to providing children and youth with positive character building experiences that help develop them into the leaders of tomorrow.

Our Core Values: Building Character in Kids!

At all of our camps, we teach and demonstrate the YMCAˇ¦s 4 Core Values - Caring, Honesty, Respect, and Responsibility -through games, arts, sports, activities, discussions and leadership. Everything we do at YMCA Camping is designed to build skills and build character because we understand the impact that camp can have on children and youth. Our camps help guide children to be kind, just and responsible to others and themselves. While at camp, children are exposed to new experiences, new skills and new people to foster the growth of independence, self-reliance, and lifetime social skills. Children at camp build confidence in themselves, have the opportunity to be creative, learn to work well with others, and grow in mind, body and spirit.

Who we are:

The YMCA of Hong Kong Camping Section is directed by full-time YMCA professionals from North America and Hong Kong. Together with support from a top staff of Coordinators, Camp Counsellors and Volunteers (CIT) we plan the best camps possible for your children. Each of us brings unique expertise to the team, resulting in camps that contribute to the overall well-being and positive development of children in Hong Kong.

Our camping programmes are committed to providing children and youth with character building experiences that help develop them into the leaders of tomorrow. Children and youth at YMCA camps build confidence in themselves, gain independence, and grow in body, mind, and spirit.

YMCA Camp brings together youth leadership, personal skills development and positive social connections in an interactive programme model. We focus on character development and values training in recreation and adventure based learning. Our four key values are Caring, Honesty, Respect, and Responsibility and we use these to shape and create positive learning outcomes that students will make their own.
