|

- Degree holder in Building Services or Mechanical Engineering or other related discipline

The Camping and Community Programmes Section is looking for motivated, enthusiastic, and initiative individuals to join our Camping Team. Successful applicants will be working year-round to deliver camp programmes to children age 5-14, providing them positive learning and character development.

Day
Camp Counselor
|
Counselors, working in pairs with CIT (Counselor in Training), are responsible for the care of camp participants; as well as the planning and delivery of various camp programmes for campers aged 5-12. These staff members should possess strong abilities in several camp related activities, including games, songs and child appropriate activities, in addition to demonstrated abilities to facilitate growth and group development among young people. They are responsible for daily programming, camper care, coordinating large group activities, and aid the development of CIT.
Minimum Requirements:
18 years of age, previous experience working with children, references required. Good commend of English. Must attend YMCA Camps Training.

Residential
and Overnight Camp Counselor
|

These staff members should possess strong abilities in several camp related activities, including games, outdoor skills, tent camping, songs and child appropriate activities, in addition to demonstrated abilities to facilitate growth and group development among young people. A strong background in outdoor recreation related activities (canoeing/ archery/ wild camping) are preferred. They are responsible for daily programming, camper care, coordinating large group activities, and aid the development of CIT.
Minimum Requirements:
18
years of age, previous experience working with children, references
required. Good command of English. Must attend YMCA Camps Training.

Camp
Coordinator
|
Coordinators are responsible for the safety and supervision and care of all individuals involved in their camps, including Campers, Counselors and CITs. Coordinators are also responsible for planning and delivery of all programmes for camper's aged 5-14. Coordinators plan and carry out an active programme encompassing many of the camp programme areas including arts and crafts, sports games, drama activites, YMCA Tradition activities, team-building games and outdoor programmes. These staff members should possess strong abilities managing a team, being the staff responsible for site supervision and contact, demonstrate sound judgement , have stong organization skills, and be able to evaluate camp programmes. They are responsible for daily programming, camper care and overall safety and well-being of every individuals involved in the camp. Camp Coordinators also have to coordinate large group activities and provide daily hards-on support and assistance to group leaders in the delivery of all programmes and activities. Coordinators should have previous camp experience or related experiences.
