The YMCA of Hong Kong Camping and Community Programme Section organizes camp activities for children ages 5-14 regularly during Summer, Christmas, Lunar New Year, and Easter Holiday. We run a variety of camps throughout Hong Kong serving close to 6,000 children each year. Our seasonal camping team is built around a core of energetic and dedicated youngsters who are eager to make a difference in children’s lives. Requirements

• Age 18 or above
• Basic Command of English (Communication & Written)
• Team-oriented
• Out-going, responsible, patient, and willing to take on new challenges
• Reference from previous supervisors
• Experience with leading activities and/or children work preferred


Major Job Descriptions

• Work in a team to plan and deliver activities throughout the camps (Day camps activities include mass games, songs, sports activities, art & craft sessions, cookery, out-trips, team building games etc; Residential camps activities include all of the above plus water sports activities, archery,
rope course, campfire, night games etc.)
• Attend pre-camp and post-camp meetings
• Conduct proper campers’ care and supervision
• Facilitate a fun and safe learning environment for campers
• Integrate the YMCA four core values into all camp activities
• Lead small camper groups and help facilitate the learning process of camp volunteers

• Pay range $240-300 per day (excluding Residential Camp Staff)

• Reference from previous supervisors
• Standard First Aid
• Experience with leading activities and/or children work

Able to work independently to lead a group of staffs and campers


Major Job Descriptions

• Lead a team of staff and volunteers to plan and deliver original activities throughout the camps (Day camps activities include mass games, songs, sports activities, art & craft sessions, cookery, out-trips, team building games etc; Residential camps activities include all of the above plus water sports activities, archery, rope course, campfire, night games etc.)
• Organize and host pre-camp and post-camp meeting
• Supervise and care for all individuals involved in the camp, including campers and staffs
• Facilitate a fun and safe learning environment for campers
• Integrate the YMCA four core values into all camp activities
• Serve as liaison person with both parents and back office
Facilitate the learning process of both camp counselors and volunteers
